I decided to try grapevine cause it is new and hopefully will have more "respectful" people on it that I have found for Craigslist. I am a CMT/LMT certfied and licenced massage therapist in the twin cities and it is so hard to find people who are looking for a genuine and legitimate THERAPEUTIC massage. I am a massage therapist who spent the money to go through school to help people heal with massage not to have people wanting services that I dont offer nor will I ever offer. I didnt realize it would be so hard to get going in this field. I either have people scared that I am some sort of pervert or I have perverts thinking I offer things that I dont. What is wrong with the world today?

Hi kellar thanks so much for your comments. I thought I would also take a minute to answer some of your questions. I am certified in about 10 different modaliies including things like deep tissue, prenatal, infant, shiatsu, reiki, sports and injury. I specialize in the prenatal and infant aspect of massage because pregnancy is a hard time on a womans body and when you typically see a pregnant woman the questions usually are about how far along they are. Their whole world for those 9 months is focused on that baby and Massage can be soothing and relaxing and give the mommy to be some pampering time just for her. It so benifical for the baby to and I have found that if the mother is comfortable enough to have her tummy massaged during a massage session that sometimes the baby will start following my hands with their hands or feet and will often times give me a kick when they have had enough. I have found that in the TC areaa 1 hour massage is anywhere from $39-$120. For a legitimate THERAPEUTIC massage. I typically charge people about $55 an hour for a relaxation massage. Thing like deep tissue an hot stone are charged higher  People can get massages from 30 min to 120 minutes long. Alot of it depends on what areas they want worked on and what modality they are looking for. People seem nice on here I think as well.

Just another quick note if you get a massage at a place that has a list on the counter of how much you should tip your therapist that is a place that you shoulnot go to. No one should make you feel pressured into leaving a tip for a therapist. If they do a good job leaving them a tip is awsome. but please dont ever feel obligated to leave a tip cause they say you should. If your not satisfied with your massage or therapist let them know.

Have a great night and thanks again keller!!

What kind of massage do you practise, I have heard there are a few different kinds?  I know massage is suppose to be good for your body.  But other then just to relax, what are the benefits?  How long is a massage?  What is the usual cost range that a massage would run?  Not trying to nail you down on your prices, just wondering about a rough range of cost.

On another note, everyone I have met here so far, seem to be really cool people.  I have been here a few months, and I use this site every day.  I know what you mean about perverts and freaks.  Some sites I have been to, they seem to crawl out of the wood work.  I think they run a nice community site here.  My sister even lets her kids enjoy the arcade, and chat with their friends here.
